Every Ingredient is Coconut!
Often times I’ll get a crazy idea in my head and when I put it to the test it is a huge failure. This was not one of those times! I wanted to create coconut fat bombs that packed in enough coconut flavor for even the biggest coconut fans. I’ve accomplished that with these 3 ingredient Coconut Fat Bombs! That’s not all. We’ve even put together a recipe video that shows you how to make them. These are pretty straightforward, but some people like videos!
Fat Bombs – What’s the Big Deal?
Great question! I used to be a skeptic of the fat bomb revolution, but have officially given in to it’s awesomeness! Not only are these tasty as can be, but they are great ways to supplement fat, which a lot of people struggle with on a keto diet. Getting enough fat on a daily basis is made so much easier when you have a portable “bomb” waiting for you in the fridge/freezer. Over the last few months we’ve been using fat bombs much more often to up our fat intake and we’re happy with the results!

Notes on the Ingredients
The ingredient list for these coconut fat bombs is about as basic as they come. There’s a couple of factors to keep in mind when choosing your ingredients however. The coconut flakes are the big one. Make sure you’re getting unsweetened, and also opt for the more finely shredded variants if you can find it. We’ve found the more finely shredded the coconut the more evenly dispersed the flakes will be, and they won’t rise to the top as much. The Coconut Milk is the next item to consider. Check the nutrition label because they try and sneak all kinds of stuff into coconut milk! Try and get a version with coconut milk and not much else. This should run you about 2g of carbs per serving.
There’s Levels to This
Sweetness levels that is! I know I said 3 ingredients, but the 4th ingredient is an optional one. Stevia! The amount you add, of course, determines how sweet the coconut fat bombs will be. The 20 drops shown in this recipe make them nice and lightly sweetened. If you want these coconut fat bombs to be dessert, then add some more. Probably 30-40 drops.

All I can say is….yum. God’s creation of the various foods for us are incredible.
Hi! I just made these coconut fat bombs and they were so simple but delicious ?! Although the coconut oil turned hard and became chunks. I think it was because of the milk. Maybe try to figure out a way to make these without the coconut oil turning into chunks. But the recipe was really good and my whole family loved it so thanks for that!
New into Keto. How many milliliters or ounces in a fat bomb mold? I’ll likely modify a muffin tin.
Hmm, I’m not actually sure about that.
They’re about 1 tbsp
Hey matt, can i just say that you totally look like Ryan Gosling lol continue doing what you’re doing ~you’re both awesome ❤️
Hahah thank you so much Mary lou 🙂
Why do these say they have 6.5g of carbs on myfitnesspal?
Just double checked and they say 1g. You may be looking at the wrong recipe nutrition.
Hi! I was gonna make this but when I logged it in MyFitnessPal under Ketoconnect and it gave me totally different macro. It says calories is 304. I’m about to be caught up with my NetCarbs and Protein but needs alot of Fat. Can you please confirm. Thank you so much.
Just double checked – You may be looking at the wrong nutrition!
I made these today and just ate one fresh out of the freezer.. It totally cured my ice cream craving!
These are so delicious. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you liked them!!
Made these, a couple of points…
Used paper molds… they collapsed.
Kept in the freezer – almost broke my teeth.
Did not add stevia, they were nice without it. If anything maybe I will dissolve a bit of palm sugar into the coconut milk next time.
Will buy proper molds and maybe refrigerating is sufficient.
Thanks for the recipe. They are yummy.
interesting on the stevia front. We’ll have to try them without!
I put the whole can of coconut cream in.. I didn’t have milk
I would suggest dumping out the excess liquid from the van as they were super liquidy so I had to drain the liquid after I mixed all the ingredients.
Great tip!
Can I use butter instead of coconut oil
Sure can!!
Hi there. So loved the cookie recipe. However, I have found Hershey’s Kitchens SUGAR FREE chocolate chips work well. I use them to make my peanut butter fat bombs and I also added a bit of chocolate to the top of the coconut fat bombs. Yummy! Thanks so much for your videos and all the amazing recipes. Also, may I suggest a “SEARCH” button at the top of your page so we can quickly find what we are looking for? Awesome sauce!!
Thanks again!! God Bless.
Nola
They’re great, but they also have maltitol which has a higher glycemic index and can cause digestive issues. Just monitor your cravings and digestion 🙂
I cannot get the comments to load, so I apologize if you have already answered this question. How many grams are each of your fat bombs? I didn’t have any smallish cocntainers so I used the bottom of 6 silicone muffin molds and 6 popcicle molds, so I only yielded 12 fat bombs. (My daughter and I may have eaten some of the liquid before we frozen them!) So I am thinking maybe I should cut them in half. Even then they will be a bigger serving than what your recipe has. Just want to make sure I’m not O.D.ing on fat bombs. They are delicious. I also added 1 Tb unsweetened cocoa powder to half of them. Yum.
Hey there! so if you yielded 12 fat bombs, cut them into thirds or halves. You should be just fine!
These are great! I used my vitamex to incorporate all the ingredients and found them very easy to make, with the coconut bits blendeding nicely throughout the little bombs. I also added a tiny bit of vanilla extract and cinnamon. Thanks for the recipe. I’ve been having a hard time getting enough fat into my diet, and find myself hungry more often than people say I should be. Hopefully these will help satiate my hunger!
Recipe fail! Made today and just tried one. Not very tasty. Then I realized I forgot the sweetener – monk fruit in my case. LOL I’ll probably let them melt tomorrow, and the monk fruit and re-freeze.
OH NOOOO!!! Great idea on melting them!!!
WOW! I just made these. Waiting a hour or so to try one was so difficult. I did add some cacao nibs to each mold along with half an almond. My own almond joy!!! The recipe made 34 small fat bombs. The only change I will make for the next batch would be to grate some 85% dark chocolate and exchange for the nibs.
Thanks for the recipe!
Could I add a protein powder to this to make it more of a meal replacement? I’m thinking chocolate protein powder would make it more like a mounds bar ? Maybe put in some almond slivers and oh my!! I think I’ll be experimenting soon!
Yes. I think that would work pretty well.
Can i use Swerve Confectioners instead of the stevia since that’s what I have on hand? If so, how much and will it keep the macros the same? TIA!
I’d go with about 3-4 tablespoons!
Awesome! I had all the ingredients already and just bought mold’s yesterday for fat bomb experimentation. After pouring half of them I added dutch chocolate powder to the others. Used immersion blender and all was easy to pour. Simple and delish!
Glad you liked them Melanie!
Made these today. Super easy and a great edition to the diet. I used a little electric hand whisk to combine the oil, milk and stevia then mixed the coconut in by hand.
I find 20 drops of stevia to be extremely sweet. Next time I think I’ll drop to 10.
Thanks for sharing the process! We love these too 🙂 We go lighter on the sweetness lately too.
New to fat bombs. I currently don’t use Stevia or any other sweetener. Is it okay to leave it out or will I find these gross without it?
I think you’ll find them pretty tasty. They will be a little bland tasting but still pretty good.
