Keto Breakfast Muffins
If any of you know me from our youtube videos, you know I’m a no crap kind of girl. I say it like it is because honesty is extremely important to us! So, when I say these muffins beat the cakes I am not joking in the slightest. In order to fully understand you have to make and try them – and I highly suggest you do!
In terms of taste, both hit the spot perfectly with just the right touch of sweetness. However, when it comes to substance the Keto Muffins can’t be touched! They are dense, and pack more flavor in each bite. If you like biting into a slice of pizza, imagine bitting into four slices at the same time. Clearly, one is better than the other! If these keto breakfast muffins aren’t doing it for you, check out some of our other great low carb breakfast recipes! We have these 3 ingredient cauliflower hash browns and these low carb pancakes that are packed full of coconut!

How much is a scoop of whey protein? The scoop In
my protein powder is big? Last recipe I made with it was a flop. It’s the dymatize brand. Any help would be appreciated!’ Thanks
All protein powder textures will be different, but 1 scoop is usually around 30 grams.
Yup! Around 62 grams should be two scoops
How many can you eat let say for breakfast or on the go?
However many you want! It all depends on your goals, how hungry you are, how active you are… etc!
I might have done something wrong, mine were empty in the middle. Like a big puff of air. Totally hollow. Has anyone had this happen?
These just came out of the oven about a half an hour ago. They were suuuuper high but have since deflated a bit. I filled the muffin tins to the top and ended up with 10, so I’m guessing 2/3 or 3/4 the way up will get me 12. I used Isopure Creamy Vanilla for my whey protein and they smell delicious! I’ve been a fan for a few weeks now, first time commenting–thanks for all you do!
I am new to ket, just in my second week. Made these with some whey protein powder I had, chocolate flavor. They came out just like you said, all puffed up and then deflated. They were horrible!! No flavor Hardly at all and a hole as big as the muffin In the center. What did I do wrong ????
When first starting keto, you are probably used to more sweet things and not used to low-carb sweeteners so the taste might be off for you because of that.
What is the serving size?
1 muffin is 1 serving
Sorry for the silly question- English is my second language. For the whey protein, does it mean 1 scoop= 62g, so a total of 124g to make the muffins? I just wanted to double check so I don’t waste the eggs & cream cheese. Thank you for the recipe!
I believe one scoop is around 31 grams so two scoops would be 62g.
Hi…I really love a great deal of your recipes. I recently made your perfect keto bread. One of the suggestions you had to remove the eggy taste was a packet of yeast. I am here to tell you that it did NOT remove that taste. I have had issues (from childhood trauma) with the “taste” of eggs. I am not allergic, but if I can taste it, I can’t eat it, makes me hurl. Secondly, I am allergic to seafood. I am finding that numerous recipes for Keto contain tasteable eggs or have seafood. Would it be possible to make a recipe for bread without so many eggs? I would appreciate some other alternatives as well to seafood as a macro ingredient. Thanks so much. Love your videos!
Have you tried our coconut flour bread?
OMG finally something keto baked goods worked for me! I didnt have enough vanilla and used 1/4 of whey chocolate.yumm!! And beautiful too.
has anyone tried with egg whites only?
These were amazing!! I used vanilla whey protein, a partial teaspoon of vanilla extract, and added 3-4 blueberries to each muffin. They are absolutely delicious. I could imagine eating these regularly for breakfast. Truly loved them!!!
Do these have a eggy taste. Can you use less eggs?
There are a couple ways that you can combat the egg taste:
1. Stevia – It might sound crazy, but adding a few drops of stevia to this recipe is the best way to eliminate the egg taste. Just a few drops will do! We typically use 6 drops of stevia. That amount will not make the bread sweet to the taste at all, but it will greatly reduce the egg taste.
2. Butter – This might be the best way – Just add some delicious butter to the top of a slice and you will think you’re eating traditional bread!
Bought your book on amazon and trying to buy your fat bomb book but your site keeps asking me for a password.
Hi! Just create an account by typing in a password and it should be good to go!
Hi you guys! I tried this recipe but i only had the whipped cream cheese, the muffins looked awesome when they came out of the oven, but then fell flat. I think i need to get the regular stuff for the next batch. Also I used vanilla flavored protein, its tastes great! Thanks for the recipe. I hope you guys get over to Sacramento soon!
I read that women should not use whey? Is that true ? If I use almond flour instead how much should I use? Thanks for the great recipe!
We’ve never used almond flour for this recipe, you will have to do some experimenting with it.
Would love to try these but i8’m severly lactose intolerant. Any suggestions on how and what to switch out of your recipes for non dairy?
You can swap butter for coconut oil or another oil. You can use coconut cream instead of heavy whipping cream. You could try this recipe with coconut cream instead of cream cheese, but we’ve never tried that before.
I used unflavored vegetarian protein powder, and sweetened it with a little bit of swerve. Then I made cinnamon butter (cinnamon, butter & confectionery swerve) for a spread. Came out nice, with no bubbles.
Argh, wont be making these again. Taste ok but stuck so badly to my (well greased) muffin pan that it is now unusable?. Also they puffed up from the bottom with big holes so not split-able.
Hi, I am new to Keto and really enjoy seeing these recipes. Gives me hope that I can have bread and muffins still :). Can you make this without the whey protein?
Thanks!
You could try substituting with coconut flour, you will need some sort of flour.
I made these muffins today using strawberry and cream protein powder and they were great. Even my mother liked them. Next time I will use a silicon baking pan.
