One of our favorite go-to, quick to whip up keto snacks are these Parmesan Crisps! We like to have a container filled with them in our fridge in case we are feeling snacky, but don’t want the guilt. At only 1.5 net carbs for four crisps you really can’t beat that. Personally, I like to dip them in sour cream or guacamole to give me the real chip feel. I dare you to give it a try!
Low Carb Chips
The one thing I miss the most on my ketogenic journey is chips. Salty, oily, crispy and flavorful bites of heaven. But, these Parmesan crisps bring me back to the days of eating chips at every lunch. Yes, we’ve tried flax seed crackers, pork rinds and even veggies as chip replacements, but these Parmesan crisps are by far the best! They taste even better after they sit out over night. You can leave them on the counter or store them in the fridge and they will crisp up even further.

Cheese Crisps with Jalapeno
We like to toss a jalapeno in the middle for some spice, but you can opt to leave it out or even get a little wild and toss on a pepperoni. The best part about adding something additional to the cheese is that whatever you use will give off extra flavor! When the Parmesan bakes up the jalapeno spice and flavor spreads throughout the entire crisp.

Parmesan Crisps
We want you to know these crisps are your chance to get a little wild. Throw on some crazy cheeses like blue or gouda – don’t be scared! If you are a cheese lover you should also give our Zucchini Fries and Easy buffalo Chicken Dip a try. Those two cheesy recipes, along with these Parmesan Crisps will be appetizer hits at your next gathering, and no one will even know they are low carb.

My question is::As an 80 plus year old woman do I need to cycle out of the Keto diet, from time to time? Will my hair fall out or some unhealthy thing happen if I just stay on low carb Keto?
I love your blog, your recipes aa
These are DELICIOUS. I left the ribs/seeds in for my husband and removed them for mine. When I served them, I added a little sour cream and bacon bits to the top. Keto or not … these are great! Thank you!
Excellent! Used chopped garlic in center at 400F at 9 minutes and I was stunned… Salty, a bit crunchy, and taste wonderful… No more worrying about my potato chip longings as I start my keto eating life! Thanks for this recipe!
Just what I needed. Something to dip into guacamole
Sounds like a yummy combo!
try baking at a lower temp. like 350 for 5 to 7 minutes
So easy, quick and delicious.. Used airfry oven – 10 min at 400. Thank You!
Is the serving size for the two chips or one chip?
The serving size is for half the recipe , which is 4 chips
Made a double batch yesterday. Didn’t cook them quite as brown as I did the first time. Half with provolone and half with sliced havarti. Cut the jalapenos thicker, just my preference. so good. Will never eat them all before I have to trash them. I am wondering if you have ever tried freezing them & how they turned out when defrosted. Thanks for all your great recipes. I bought the digital version of both of your cookbooks from Amazon and your ebook for fat bombs. Between those & here, I always search for recipes from y’all before heading to Pinterest or googling keto recipes. thanks!
Can you use the parmesan cheese in the jar?
These turned out pretty good. Thanks for the idea!
Just made these. Baked on a silicone mat & bottom & edges were light brown & crispy. Came out perfectly – crunchy and chewy. Next time I will slice the jalepeno thicker for extra spicy goodness. Great recipe, thanks!
Amazing! Thank you so much for this recipe. So good and filling and easy and quick. Brilliant!
Ok these are the bomb! My husband and I just devoured a cookie sheet of these!
THESE ARE AMAZING!!!! When on low carb, I don’t miss sweets as much as I miss crispy, salty snacks (lay’s and Doritos are my faves). I’ve made these several times and always make sure they get that brown crisp around them before I take them out of oven so they are super crispy. I’ve added the pepperoni as suggested and also a little slice of black olive…it is like having pizza without the crust! YUM YUM YUM. I’m sick of pork rinds too…..I’ve even shredded a bit of Romano cheese now and then. so many ideas!
Perfection. did both a tray of jalapeño and then the pepperoni…..needed this snack badly…sick of pork rinds……if you follow directions exactly, you will have a marvelous snack.
Hey, I just spread runds of parmesan (spread thinly) on parchment and zap 30 to 45 seconds in microwave. I pat out excess fat with paper towel and I have instant crisps. I would think you could add peppers if desired.
You guys rock. – what great recipes! I’ve never been a picky eater – yet throughout my life I could take it (food) or leave it – having been raised on a “healthy?” but very Western diet. Recipes like yours finally inspire me to take interest and joy in eating. The simplicity and comforrt food tastiness are the perfect “recipe”! Stay healthy!
I just made them and I substituted the provolone with Mozzarella! Loved them! Dipped them in salsa and felt like I was eating nachos. Perfect mix of chewy and crunchy!
These are delish! Only had one problem I’m hoping you could help me with. Mine stuck to the wax/parchment paper. ☹️ Any suggestions you could offer to avoid this would be awesome!! ?
Wax paper and parchment paper are different, make sure you use parchment paper so they don’t stick.
These are delishes! ? I pan fried mine bc I dont own a silicone matt or have parchment paper on hand. I can only cook 4 at a time but probably could do more on a skillet.
Jalapeno cheese chips came out amazing
The zucchini fries not so good. Maybe next time
