On a keto diet we are always looking for something to scoop up dips and something crunchy to snack on during a movie. These Keto Crackers are just what you’re looking for! Flax seed crackers are starting to appear in more grocery stores, and while those are a great option for keto, these homemade ones are much tastier and more importantly, they won’t set you back $8 per bag.
Homemade Flax Seed Crackers
The nice thing about making these keto crackers at home is that you can add whatever herbs and spices you want. For this recipe we’re going with a fall themed flavor profile, using pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon.

I may be mistaken, but this doesn’t seem very keto friendly. The total size of the recipe is 10 ounces, and it says that 1/10th of the recipe has 7 carbs. That means that many people who eat more than 3 ounces will get kicked out of ketosis, or if they eat 3 ounces, then they cannot eat any more carbs for the rest of the day or they will get kicked out of ketosis. Even the lighest eaters in the world eat more than 3 ounces per meal.
Hi Paul! This recipe has 7g of total carbs, but only 2g of net carbs. Definitely not supposed to be a full meal though, just a snack or side. Hope that helps!
I put on almost 1kg after eating 10 of these crackers the night before, is flaxseed really keto friendly? the calories count seems high. It is also quite sticky and get stuck on my teeth abit. (am i baking it wrong? )
These were very messy to work with – seeds everywhere and more seeds after baking and cutting into squares. Definitely an acquired taste and I would not make again.
These are amazing. I was missing crackers so much. Thank you so much! Love all your videos. You guys rock!
This is my go to snack recipe and it never disappoints. I love adding a homemade everything but the bagel spice to it. I eat them alone or with cream cheese or butter or an artichoke chip. Thank you for sharing your recipes.
Loving all your recipes
I made these crackers already twice since I saw your recipe last week. They are fabulous and fun to eat. They create something special for the low carb diet that I think very necessary. It’s great as a snack with tehina or guacamole. Or just alone they are great. They do need to be baked well. I rolled the dough out between 2 baking papers and baked them with the paper on. You can also turn the baked crackers over and cook a bit on the other side. I used half whole flax and half ground. Spiced them with onion flakes, garlic granules, and himalayan salt. Thank you so much.
These are a good alternative to wanting something crunchy. Kind of high in carbs for such a small amount. ?
High in carbs but low in net carbs.
Just made these. Super easy and super yummy. I was concerned about the pumpkin pie spice and the cinnamon but it’s really very subtle. I could see adding other spices depending on what your in the mood for. I cooked mine for 20 minutes and it’s a tad over done so next time I’ll check it a little earlier.
Love you guys and your recipes! I’ve made several and they are all really good! I watch all your YouTube videos and listen to the podcast (you crack me up). Thanks for everything you do
