Sometimes the hardest part about being on a keto diet is finding High Fat Low Carb Snacks to replace your old snacking ways. A lot of people also struggle with finishing their day off with high fat ratio compared to their protein. So, we’ve put together a short list of our favorite go-to snacks that takes less than 5 minutes to make and will help you round off your day perfectly! Keep an eye on this post because we will be updating it with more snacks as we make them.
Easy Snack Recipes
1. Bulletproof Bone Broth/Chicken Broth: This in particular is Megha’s favorite mid=day snack for the time between lunch and dinner. It’s a great way to easily up your butter by blending some heavy whipping cream, butter, coconut oil or MCT oil in with the broth for a delicious warm afternoon snack.
- Ingredients:1 cup bone broth/chicken broth1/2 cup hot water1 tbsp butter1 tbsp heavy whipping cream1/4 tsp pink salt
Instructions: Combine all the ingredients in a blend and blend for 20 seconds until everything is combined. Pour into a glass and enjoy! Note: You can easily swap out ingredients in this recipe to make it to your liking and even add some spices before blending!
2. Crispy Parmesan Hard Boiled Eggs: This is our favorite movie time snack and pre-dinner appetizer! It takes only a couple minutes to make if you have hard boiled eggs and Parmesan in the fridge and is a great balance of protein, fat, crunch and flavors! You can make these as simply or as complex as you want by adding in spices and drizzling with olive oil – our favorite Italian take on this recipe!
- Ingredients:2 hard boiled eggs, sliced lengthwise1/4 cup grated parmesan1 tbsp olive oil (for coating flat surface of egg)Optional add ins: 1/2 tsp oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes
Instructions: Pour the grated Parmesan onto a plate and heat a small skillet to medium-high heat. Using your fingers coat the flat surface of each egg half with olive oil and place into the Parmesan. If the cheese doesn’t stick well or enough firmly press it onto the egg with your hand. Once coated place in the hot skillet Parmesan side down. Allow to crisp up for 1-2 minutes. The cheese will harden and brown once it is complete. Serving with and additional drizzle of olive oil to up the fat!
3. Chocolate Whipped Topping Dessert: This is by far our favorite high fat snack of all three. We make it almost every night right before dinner and place it in the fridge for the post-dinner indulgence! It takes two to three simple ingredients, plus any additions you want to add! Matt loves adding almond extract and Megha loves adding cocoa powder and sour cream to make it a chocolate cheesecake bowl. This is perfect because it is pure fat making it a delicious way to round off your macros at the end of the day!
- Ingredients:1/4 cup heavy whipping cream2 tbsp cream cheese (we like Whipped)1 tsp cocoa powder1/4 tsp vanilla extract5 drops liquid stevia/monk fruitOptional add ins: almond extract, berries, nuts, cream cheese or sour cream
Instructions: add the hwc to a bowl and whip until you achieve stiff peaks. Add in the cream cheese, stevia and cocoa powder and combine with the hand mixer. Eat immediately or place in fridge for an hour to get maximum whipped topping in a bowl experience!

Hey guys, love your videos, recipes and blog. I am fairly new to keto, but I’ve dropped 50 pounds in 12 weeks and I want to keep it going. Have tried this a couple of times and it’s great as is, but I just tried it with a couple of teaspoons of Trader Joe’s instant coffee, and its amazing. If you like mocha at all, you will love this addition to your favorite snack treat.
Do you use only 8oz of water when you use the lono life one. Or do you add more water than the package states? For the bone broth recipe.
Hello! I’m newish to Keto (3 weeks) so I love watching your videos for inspiration. The chocolate fluff looked amazing so I bought the ingredients to make it and entered everything into the carb counter and it said 9g carbs for just whipping cream, cream cheese and chocolate powder – are there specific brands that I need to make this low carb since 9g carbs is really high?
It shouldn’t be that high per serving. There aren’t specific brands but I would make sure the brands you are using don’t have unnecessary ingredients that would raise the carb level
I’ve been really looking for some good fatty snacks to help my fat intake and was wondering what the macros where for these recipes. Thank you
This is great snacks, it keeps me in my low carb diet plan. I just bookmark your website.
I have a question related to total net carbs.. i understand that you subtract the fiber from total carbs but what about sugars? Are the only sugars you subtract alcohol sugars? And if it doesn’t specify alcohol sugar and just states sugars, you don’t subtract it? Is this correct?
Yes, correct. Sugars listed are actual sugars and these should not be subtracted. For the sugar alcohols, I would only subtract erythritol since it is the only sugar alcohol that doesn’t have an impact on blood glucose levels.
This is the first blog I’ve ever followed and first You Tube etc, spreading your name all over NYC! Your content is so wonderful and you both are incredibly authentic and it’s so refreshing. Have lost weight following your lead. Many good wishes on the news of your new baby. ?

I see there are flavored bone broth protein, like chocolate and vanilla, have you tried these and do you like them?
Hot water in the bulletproof bone broth…you said 1-2 c. Hot water, but your recipe says 1/2 cup. Which is it? I’m dying to try it??
It is really up to you. You could do 1/2 cup for a more concentrated broth, or you could add 1-2 cups for a larger drink but with less flavor.
Just love the chocolate fluff…I just scan my ingredients as I make it…it is my dessert go to!! LOVE IT and I throw some lilly’s chocolate chips in and I am good to go!!! Thanks so much!!!
Just love you guys!!
While my mom is enjoying a cake pop I’m loving my keto fluff! Thanks guys!!
It sure looked (in the video) like you were putting more cocoa powder in the fluff. I put 2 Tablespoons and I have DARK chocolate fluff. I put some more cream because it got too thick and it’s actually quite good even though I’m not a huge fan of dark chocolate.
What are the calories, fat ,protein and carbs for the chocolate fluff? I can’t wait to try it 🙂
It will depend on how much of each ingredient you use for you fluff! Just add it all up in a macro tracker, such as My Fitness Pal.
I would give a lot if you would not use grams in recipes. It is so difficult to get the correct conversion. Thanks.
I just found your website. You guys are great and funny. I just made the’mousse’. My husband doesn’t like Stevia so I used a little Swerve and we topped it with more whipped cream. Yum. Thank you.
Made the chocolate fluff last nite…omg! So good… what is the nutritional #’s so I can log it in

Would love to know the macros for the Chocolate Whipped Topping Dessert.. thank you guys!
For the carbs, it will depend on the amount of HWC you use – each tbsp of HWC is .5g carbs and then the cocoa powder will have some.
Just want to say I am so glad I found your videos and website. I am just starting the keto lifestyle, you guys are making it easier for me. Thank You
You guys are great and thanks for all the Info and advise… I look forward to
