Congrats again Megha and Matt! I’m currently 23 weeks along with my second baby (girl) and have chosen to stay on Keto. Thanks for all you guys have done thus far to help me stay keto and I look forward to your instagram lives and videos everyday. ๐ Regarding heartburn, ironically, the one thing that has completely helped with my issues has been apple cider vinegar shots. I should mention that 2 weeks after I found out I was pregnant I was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. So I have been on a journey to better health needless to say. I take three shots (1 tsp each shot) of apple cider vinegar at night mixed with v8 juice (the only thing I’ve found that I can tolerate the taste with) and then treat myself to two tbsps of peanut butter after them. It’s not only helped my fasting numbers but completely eliminated any issues I had with heartburn. Hope that helps you and I’m sending you all the good vibes and great baby health as you continue on your journey!
Kindergarten is a LONG way from playtime and naps nowadays… It’s more like the new 1st or 2nd grade ๐ There are some awesome schools out there that are more trusting of children to lead their own learning. This could be a long rant from an early childhood professional but I won’t make it that. ๐ definitely let them be little and let them play! I love your podcasts, YouTube, and blog. I am not on a keto diet but have learned a lot from you guys and I’m definitely healthier from it. Congratulations on the pregnancy!
Congratulations you two! I’ve been absent from social media lately so I didn’t know you were pregnant. So exciting! In just had my second baby (my keto baby) 5 years after my carb baby. Lol… Keto is the one thing I can thank forn helping us get pregnant. I have PCOS and Keto helped regulate my menses and surprised us with the baby we had given up on trying to conceive. I stayed low carb during my pregnancy and only gained the baby weight. I had to add carbs because my body was asking for them. I I added them in the form of fruit. Eating this way helped my morning sickness. My first Carby pregnancy gave me a 1st trimester hangover and with my keto pregnancy the symptoms were so much better. Listen to your body and I can’t wait to come along on your journey!
Great episode guys! You are right on the money with the WAPF stuff. I found their stuff after kid #3. Currently on baby #7 (first tri). This is my second preg while doing keto. The only thing I notice is that I’m always hungry yet super nauseous. Haven’t experienced this with any previous pregs. What do you think this means? Should I up carbs to 50?
I am not sure, it may just be different this time and your body is reacting differently. You can try things out for yourself, but I am not sure how that would affect the pregnancy, so I would talk to your doc.
